Event #2 Info

We are bummed we had to push the event back due to the closure of Rocky Gorge by the WESC. But all will go on the the event will be held April 11th.

Anglers are allowed to fish at Rocky Gorge Reservoir and Little Seneca Lake, in order to accomodate those anglers that would like to participate in both our MAKBF event and the Delaware Paddle Sports Event at Little Seneca Lake.

Awards will start at 3:30pm, also to allow those fishing at Little Seneca Lake to travel back to Rocky Gorge.

We hope to see you there, it is warming up here in Maryland and the fish are starting to EAT!!!

Remember to sign up to become a MSSA and CCA member in order to have a chance at winning some awesome kicker prizes at the end of the year.

Lake Anna - Event Information

We look forward to having everyone there and it should be some fun fishing for February!! Remember even if you don't win or catch the biggest fish.... New this year.... you will still have a chance to not go home empty handed.

Also, remember you must have a Hawg Trough style measuring board!!! This is the only acceptable device for the entire series. Any other device will result in entries being disqualified.

Also, don't forget to become a member of both the Coastal Conservation Association of MD and Maryland Saltwater Sportsman Association. They are both offering an excellent prize for their member that finishes the highest in the Angler of the Year race. ***We're talking CA$H and COOLERS***

Finally, we hope to have live scoring up and running by the first event. This will allow you to take the photo of your catch on your phone and immediately submit it via an APP. More details to come soon!!

November Online Challenge "Pickerel"

November 1st - November 30th

Our goal is to get a lot of people to participate and for this to become a fun event each month. The pickerel are really heating up and they are super fun and easy to catch on light tackle. You can use whatever lures or bait your would like and fish any water MD, VA, PA or DE on a kayak, boat, or from shore.

Cost: $10 (90% payback) The 10% will be put towards the Heroes on the Water fund MAKBF raises each year (every little bit counts).

MAKBF Open Results

A rainy Saturday made for cold and wet conditions, but our anglers were able to put some quality fish in their kayaks. While we hoped for some bass boats to show up for the OPEN, the event consisted of only kayak anglers. I guess they didn't want to get the carpet wet on their boat lol

Last minute Online Challenge for the month of October (the challenge is organized by the Mid-Atlantic Kayak Bass Fishing Series)

Total Length of 2 Rockfish


$20 Entry Fee paid via PayPal (makbfseries@gmail.com) 

An identifier will be emailed to you 10/3 or after you register.

80% Payout
Pay 1 finisher for every 10 participants (For Example: 30 Participants = Payout Top 3)

1= full 80%
2= 60%, 20%
3= 50%, 20%, 10%
4= 50%, 20%, 5%, 5%

Rules:

CPR Format 
1. Each fish photo MUST include ALL of the following criteria:
a. The whole fish, tip to tail (tail laying naturally on measuring device, No pinch)
b. Laying with the mouth closed and tip of the lip at beginning of ruler i. Fish MUST be left side UP.
c. Measurement markings must be clearly visible
d. Assigned unique identifier must be visible

Any Standardized Measuring Device (Nothing Home Made)
Fish from Land or Kayak
Any waterway in Mid Atlantic Region (MD, VA, DE, DC, PA)
