August 5th on the Susquehanna with Kayak Anglers

We are about a week away from the next tournament. This one is going to be on the Susquehanna River! If you like fishing for smallmouth, or have not tried it before, you should make this event! This is one of the premier smallmouth fisheries in the country! This event is a joint event with Kayak Anglers and they are taking point on this event.
The scoring website is the same and you can register via the link below. Make sure you select member when you sign up.
Please make sure that you look at the rules, there are a couple of tweeks as we are following Kayak Anglers rules.
For Angler of the Year for MAKBF we will base the points off of the finish positions of those that are members in the MAKBF. If the first place MAKBF member finishes third overall then they are the first place MAKBF member for AOY points.
A couple of items that were answered by KA already:
You can pay and register any time before the event on the kayakfishingseries.com site under Kayak Anglers of Central PA August 5 event. After paying in the top section be sure to scroll down and hit register so you show up on the angler list. The limit will be 5 fish since this is one of our major events with bigger payouts and prize paks! The event page will be on facebook soon along with contact info if you have any questions. Feel free to contact me direct if you have any questions! Thanks! Mike Reinhold
You do still have to be at Blue Mountain between 430-6am the morning of the event to sign in, get identifier code and end of day checkin instructions. After you check in you may then proceed to your chosen launch point but may not paddle out till 615

KBF Membership for those that Qualify

Only SIX DAYS LEFT!!
We wanted to make sure everybody was aware that if you are hoping to get one of the five qualifying spots from our series this year for the 2018 KBF National Championship you need to be a 2017 KBF member by 7/31/2017. Our spots go to the top five in the Angler of the Year standings at the end of the year, but if it looks like you might end up a spot or two out of that don't forget that we could have some roll-downs. It looks like Jed will end up in the top 5, but he is already qualified through his finish in this year's national championship.
The link below is where you can purchase the 2017 KBF membership. If you have any questions please let us know.

Black Hills Event is this weekend!

Here are the available launches for this event.

We can enter the park at 6 am and we will launch at 6:30 and begin fishing at that time. Please make sure you pay your launch fees to be on the water. It is $5 and there are envelopes at ramp 1 that allow you to put in your money and fill out the information for your vehicle. I would recommend having a pen on hand to fill out the form. I will be located at ramp 1 in the morning and will be there at 6 am.

I will be at the ramp 1 at 2:30 for anybody that needs to check in or submit photos, if you can't use the online system you need to be at that ramp at 2:30 in order to submit photos. The awards will be held at the largest pavilion, location will be added so everybody knows where to go. The cut off time to be at the pavilion is 3:30pm.

We will have our awards at Shelter J tomorrow after we are done fishing. Lines out is at 2:30pm and you need to be at the shelter at 3:30pm.
